We were approached to assist with the creation of a three-year strategy by a family-owned construction company based in North London.
The desire was for a structured and valuable offsite with strong output, with discussions aimed at reviewing recent performance, analysing company strengths and opportunities, and making ambitious future plans.
We attended briefing meetings with key executives and held a series of one-to-one discussions to get a full understanding of the nature of the company and its ambitions.
We reviewed a number of strategic reports and financial projections.
On the day of the offsite we led the board through a series of exercises and discussions, including a SWOT analysis, an evaluation of upcoming opportunities, ideation around new products and services, and an appraisal of each of the subsidiaries.
We then led an exercise to create an activity plan incorporating targets, actions and accountable team members.
The team were able to hold productive and positive discussions, focused on outcomes and achieving consensus across the group.
